A Chance for God to Move

At my work I am one of the few Christians. As far as I can tell there maybe two or three others. I just pray that God moves through me to reach out to the others. I am one of the quiet ones so if I don't use words then I hope they see God in my actions. I always feel out-of-place when I talk about my church or Youth Group. There is one counselor that swears alot, and I have to sometimes catch myself from repeating a few words. What is nice is that one of the girls there is a christian and I feel very comfortable talking to her about anything and she is one of the sweetest girl I have ever met. I just ask that you all pray for me in reaching out to all the kids and counselors. One of theses days I will take my camera and get a few pictures to show you how cute and fun some of the kids are.

This week

Well this past week I have been very busy with work. I love working at the day camp, the kids are so much fun and keep all of us on our toes. Of course the first day had to be the hottest day of all and the school has no air-conditioning so we just played tons of games inside and outside. On Tues, Wed, and Thurs we played for a little then headed to a community pool which was nice. It was a nice time getting to hang with the kids and really get to know them. Then on Friday we watched a movie with the kids. That was the most peaceful time I ever had, all of the kids were so quite. So that was pretty much my first work week. Next Wed. we are going roller skating with some of the kids.

Saturday

On Saturday at 9:30 I had a CPR training and then an orientation for the Day Camp. I didn't know that I had an orientation until I got there for CPR. But at the orientation we did paper work and went over a few games that they suggest we do with the kids. Well I prayed before going that God would have someone else there that I know and when I first walked in the room I saw an old friend from church. God is so good in helping me do things I don't feel comfortable in doing. It didn't end until 2:45. As soon as I got home I changed, grabbed a few things, and then headed up to church for the Mother Daughter Tea Party. I got there an hour after it had already started. Afterwards Angela and I went to the mall for about 3 hours. I got Angela a few shirts and she looks good in them. When we got home we went right to bed.

Summer Job

I have been looking for a summer job and found one at a day camp. So I applied and had my interview. Then last night I got a call from one of the employers saying that they will hire me. So I got the job and have to go to a CPR training course on Saturday. I know that the training is just the beginning but I am ready for all of it.

Last Friday Mom's Group for the Fall

Today was the last day for the fall and the kids were just getting used to us. We only had four out of the six because one family couldn't come, so we had two infants and two toddlers. They were all great till have way in when the youngest girl was tired but wouldn't fall asleep. So she cried for 30mins. until I layed her down on her blanket and she finally fell asleep and slept until her mom came. Here are the pictures I took of the kids.

Mothers group fridays

Today Robyn and I went to a mothers group to help them with the kids and on the way there we saw florries, but it wasn't cold enough for it to lay. Usually I work in the nursury but Robyn took my spot and I helped out in the preschool room. The kids were so funny and had a little trouble understanding why there were two new helpers in the room. But everything went well. Near the end we put in a movie and the kids were so quiet. I would have loved to put pictures on but I forgot to get pictures and there was also not much time to just sit and breath until the movie was in.

Moms Group

I got some pictures of the kids and Robyn at the Moms group we do on Tuesdays. We had one less kid today but it was still crazy. The two little boys that were there kept us busy. And the girls were better than last time. There is one girl that has no picture.

Mom's group

Today I worked at a moms group watching kids. We have about 6 kids that come in, 3 infants and 3 toddlers. The kids are a blast we never have much time to just sit and rest. When the infants get cranky we put them in one of the swings and that calms them down or pus them to sleep. Some times we have all 3 swings going with either a infant in or a toddler who feels jealous. I enjoy the fellowship I get with the other workers and the time I spend with the kids. I would have got some pictures but I forgot.
